A retired decorator from Surrey has sold 41 complete Pokemon card sets for £1.56 million (approximately Rs 18.5 crore), nearly six times the auction house’s £270,000 (approximately Rs 3.2 crore) estimate. The collection had remained in his attic for 15 years before a newspaper report about a valuable Pokemon card prompted him to seek a valuation. One set he originally bought for around £300 (approximately Rs 35,500) later fetched £75,000 (approximately Rs 89 lakh).
