Veteran banker Uday Kotak urged India to avoid complacency despite its strong global position, calling for tighter fiscal management, financial-sector reforms and stronger domestic production. Speaking at a Finance Ministry conference, Kotak outlined seven priorities for Viksit Bharat, including fiscal consolidation, reducing import dependence, addressing gold holdings and balancing regulation with economic growth.
