India criticised Pakistan at the United Nations over alleged discrimination against religious minorities, citing shrinking minority populations and violations of their rights. Indian diplomat Bhavika Mangalanandan also questioned a UN report on funeral rights during exceptional circumstances, accused it of selective treatment and recalled Pakistan’s refusal to accept soldiers’ bodies during the 1999 Kargil conflict.
