Hurricane Trudy has rapidly intensified to a Category 3 hurricane off the Pacific coast of Mexico. It is currently situated about 420 kilometers southwest of Acapulco with maximum sustained winds of 195 kph. Trudy is expected to strengthen further before approaching the coastline on Saturday. Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Simon is forecast to diminish to a remnant low very soon.
