The Election Commission has announced the Madhya Pradesh Rajya Sabha bypoll for November 12. This decision follows the resignation of L Murugan from the Rajya Sabha and Union council of ministers. Murugan's resignation occurred on October 14 when he opted to focus on his party's growth in Tamil Nadu. Members of the state legislative assemblies will be responsible for electing the Rajya Sabha members.
